We finished Lecture 8 – ACLs slides and prepared more for the lab following class. The lab that night was the final lab, Lab 8 – ACLs.

We started on the Lecture 8 slides which were over Access Control Lists. These slides went into detail on ACLs and described the differences between Standard and Extended ACLs.

We started on slide 28 and went to the end of this lecture set. Items discussed were: ISL Frame Format, Frame Tagging, 802.1q, Edge and Core Switches, VLAN Mapping, PVST and PVST+, VTP, and Trunking. After class, we went to the lab and did Lab 7 – Basic VLANs.
